Learn more about Inson Dubois Wood, the Newlywed Nest's exclusive interior designer, and his vision to inspire newlywed couples setting up their dream apartments.
ABOUT INSON DUBOIS WOOD Inson Dubois Wood is an internationally renowned interior designer whose full service firm specializes in residential design and décor. After receiving his Masters in Architecture from Harvard University and studying under Rem Koolhaas and David Easton, Inson diversified his experience and developed his signature approach while working around the world. His unique talent for interpreting the tastes, inspirations and personality of his clients results in truly individualized living spaces. Inson's authenticity and passion is evident in every project he embarks on, and his ultimate mission as a designer is to make his clients feel at home in their homes. DESIGN CONCEPT Inson Dubois Woods's concept for the BRIDES Newlywed Nest showhome centered around the idea that newlywed couples seek to furnish their homes in a chic and affordable way, with a focus on maximizing environmental sensitivity. The goal was to provide inspiration for young urban professionals with busy lives, by creating an uncluttered, organized space that could comfortably accommodate entertaining and living life as newlyweds. From the bedroom and dining room to exercise room and rooftop terrace, Inson played with size, shape, style and light to completely transform this dream apartment into a place where couples will genuinely feel at home. Inson chose items from IKEA's array of eco-friendly products -everything from low maintenance, sleekly designed furniture, to lamps made of recycled plastics and decorative wall hangings made from all-natural materials. Inson's color concept captures the energetic vibe of newlywed couples. He kept the overall palette in grays, blues and whites, adding drama and warmth with red accents. The use of abstract oil paintings by young local artists compliments the neutral palette, providing both texture and depth to the showhome.
